DIRECTOR

Michelina Smith is an NYC-based theatre professional with experience in directing, choreography, producing, and talent management.

Working across both the creative and administrative sides of the performing arts, Michelina is passionate about building creative communities, supporting artists, and creating work that connects with audiences.

It was precisely these qualities that made Michelina stand out among the several directors considered for Spill. Her empathy, collaborative spirit, and genuine connection to the story are what led Jesus Estrada, the writer and producer of Spill, to choose her to lead the musical as its Director.

Michelina graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University at Lincoln Center with a B.A. in Theatre Directing and a B.A. in English. She is currently pursuing an M.A. in Performing Arts Administration at New York University.
