We want to thank you, our Being The Blue Honoree, for doing everything you can to make a difference in our world. Now, it is our honor to permanently induct you into our Blue Hall of Fame. You and your story are now part of a growing legacy—honored forever as a member of the 2026 Class.

His Eyes
Evan Ellingson wanted nothing more than for us to see people who are experiencing homelessness through God's eyes. Evan knew how painful it was to be homeless . . . because during his life he lived it. And in knowing what it meant to be homeless, Evan did everything he possibly could to be there for those still living on the streets. Tragically, Evan passed away in 2023. But because of two incredible people, the organization inspired by his heart and vision—HIS EYES—did not die with him.

Their Story
The excitement of In-N-Out coming to the Nashville area was all over my Facebook feed . . . my Facebook feed where I learned Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson was the owner and president of In-N-Out.
But, that isn't what made me follow Lynsi on social media.
What made me follow Lynsi was seeing how much she loved Jesus and how she lived out His love for people.
She wasn't afraid to share her faith—not only with her family and friends, but even through her business by printing Bible verses on In-N-Out's packaging.
Knowing about Lynsi's faith in Jesus moved me to reach out to her during one of the most difficult seasons of my life. So, in the summer of 2025, I took a chance and e-mailed her a personal letter.
Much to my surprise—
She wrote me back . . .
It was also through Lynsi's social media that I learned about Evan Ellingson, the brother of Lynsi and her husband, Sean.
Evan had built a successful and respected career as a child and young adult actor in television and film. He was best known for playing Kyle Harmon on the hit CBS series CSI: Miami, starred alongside Cameron Diaz in My Sister's Keeper, appeared with Kiefer Sutherland in 24, and worked with David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel on Bones. He also had the remarkable opportunity to portray a young Luke Spencer—the iconic General Hospital character made famous by Anthony Geary.
Evan accomplished the kind of success millions dream about achieving. But, sadly, he also faced the very real struggles that eventually led to homelessness and addiction.
Even in the middle of his own struggles, Evan never lost his heart for other people.
As Lynsi so beautifully wrote about Evan on her Instagram page, on what would have been his 38th birthday:
"He had a rare ability to truly see people, especially those the world often overlooks."
Having experienced homelessness himself, Evan understood the pain, loneliness, and isolation that so many people living on the streets experience every day.
After his passing, Sean and Lynsi lovingly carried forward Evan's vision and the faith in Jesus they shared with him. They legally formed his selfless, life-changing vision, HIS EYES, into the HIS EYES Foundation, continuing to show the love of Jesus to those who are hurting.
As Lynsi explained:
"The HIS EYES™ Foundation carries forward Evan's vision, seeing people experiencing homelessness through God's Eyes, fully known and fully loved. He believed everyone deserved dignity and a chance to heal, no matter their circumstances. That belief inspires everything we do."
Today, the HIS EYES Foundation ensures that the compassion, hope, and love Evan had for people experiencing homelessness—and his mission for the world to see them through God's Eyes… HIS Eyes—will continue changing lives.
The About Us section of the HIS EYES Foundation website beautifully explains their mission:
"HIS EYES was founded by Evan Ellingson, who deeply believed that we should view people experiencing homelessness through God's Eyes. After his own personal journey with homelessness, Evan devoted his time and resources to caring for people who were still living life on the streets. To honor his legacy, Sean Ellingson and Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson had HIS EYES legally formed to honor the heart and vision of Evan Ellingson. Our Foundation pays tribute to the vision that Evan had, bringing hope to the homeless community by seeing them through God's Eyes. We believe that each person has a story worth telling and a life worth saving.
Our vision is to create a world where everyone has a place to call home and a community that supports them.
From providing essential resources like meals and hygiene kits to offering long-term supportive care, HIS EYES is committed to supporting local organizations that are making a tangible difference in our communities. We also believe that financial resources alone aren't enough. Our greatest passion is to share the hope of the Gospel with those in need. By funding programs that serve both physical and spiritual needs in the communities where In-N-Out® does business, we reach individuals and families in crisis, transforming lives one step at a time."
Lynsi and Sean could easily float down the lazy river of their success during their spare time—
And yet . . . And yet . . .
Even with all of their success, they give up so much of their spare time to selflessly serve others.
It isn’t about money—or how much of it you have or don’t have.
It is about how you choose to spend your time.
And, at the end of the day, we all know that time is far more valuable than money.
Lynsi didn’t have to sit down and make time to write that letter to me that day.
She and Sean don’t have to make time to continue Evan’s passion for people experiencing homelessness by showing the love of Jesus to them.
But, they did.
And, they still do.
The most amazing thing is that just when I thought Sean and Lynsi had already given more than their share, I found out while doing research about Evan and HIS EYES that, in 2016, Sean and Lynsi created the Slave 2 Nothing Foundation.
Their website states:
The Slave 2 Nothing Foundation was created by Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson and Sean Ellingson in 2016 as a 501(c)(3) and is supported primarily through donor contributions and fundraising activities sponsored by In-N-Out Burger.
In-N-Out Burger covers all costs associated with the Slave 2 Nothing Foundation, ensuring that 100% of every dollar raised goes to organizations that assist individuals and families in gaining freedom and healing from human trafficking and substance abuse.
Their mission statement passionately states:
The Slave 2 Nothing® Foundation’s mission is to free people from being enslaved to any person or substance. We fulfill our mission by contributing financially to organizations that align with our causes and actively provide services in communities served by In-N-Out Burger®.
• We assist individuals and their families to gain freedom and healing from substance abuse.
• We create, educate, and assist with solutions to eliminate human trafficking.
Evan.
Lynsi.
Sean.
They saw people hurting.
And, they didn’t just watch them hurt…
They painted.
They painted—and they continue to paint—their gray skies…
Blue.
Tiffany Blue.

With all my heart I know that those words are true.
That letter Lynsi wrote to encourage me that day—a complete stranger who also loved Jesus—came when my heart screamed out from being tired and weary and broken . . . and proves that love does . . . make up for practically anything.
This is why Lynsi's letter meant so much to me . . .
It's because I've been working on Spill for what feels like a lifetime.
Countless years of setbacks and trials and tears and heartbreak and letdowns and wanting to quit over and over and over.
From my letter to her, I knew Lynsi could sense how tired I was . . .
How weary I’d become.
And she responded to me . . . with so much grace.
Compassion.
Kindness.
Hope.
Encouragement.
Love . . .
Every single one of these things in her letter overflowing with the love of Jesus . . . through her . . . to me.
Even though I knew deep in my spirit that God had called me to write Spill The Musical, the journey had left me utterly tired, broken, discouraged, and mentally, emotionally and spiritually exhausted.
And I desperately needed someone . . . anyone . . . to talk to.
Lynsi's letter did that.

Every day, you continue painting over people’s gray skies with compassion, grace, hope, kindness . . .
And, with the love of Jesus.
And, because you embody what it means to be "Tiffany Blue," I am so honored to recognize you, Sean Ellingson, Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson, and the legacy of Evan Ellingson as our very first Be The Blue honorees and the inaugural inductees into our Blue Hall of Fame, where your story and example will continue to live and inspire.
Thank you, Evan, Lynsi, and Sean . . . for Being The Blue for so many who need it.
